Making Math Awesome! Do you have a small group of 2-6 students who could benefit from learning with an energetic, passionate teacher who LOVES math? No boring lectures or repetitive worksheets here; instead, students will experience discovery-based learning using games, puzzles, manipulatives, and small-group activities. These classes are great for kinesthetic, verbal, and visual learners. The courses emphasize problem-solving, a deeper understanding of concepts, and skill-building.
In a typical grade-level course (e.g. Upper Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, etc.) students will attend class 1 or 2 days per week. A new concept will be introduced each session via hands-on activities, games or group work. A written assignment will be provided to reinforce new skills. The instructor will review the previous week's written work and answer student questions.
Students may choose to also work online at home 2-4 days per week practicing skills and completing assessments using a fun, adaptive learning environment. The instructor will set individualized weekly goals for each student and student progress will be monitored by the instructor. Students will complete brief written assignments at home each week to be discussed in class.

My bachelor's degree is in mathematics and my master's degree is in business. I am passionate about teaching! There's nothing I love more than seeing that spark of understanding light up a student's eyes.
I tutor all levels of mathematics from K-12 and college, for both after-school students and home school students. I especially enjoy working with students who are struggling in math. So far I have not met a student whom I couldn't help understand and love math. My motto is: "Math is fun! Math is important! Everyone can do math!" ™
I live in Mission Viejo with my family, including my 15-year old son.
